Economic Development Executive Director, Devils Lake, ND

Forward Devils Lake Development Corp., a public-private non-profit corporation designated as the economic development agency for the City of Devils Lake and Ramsey County, North Dakota is seeking a qualified individual to lead the organization.

The Executive Director will be required to work with private businesses, government, tribal groups and the local community to support economic expansion and job creation through existing and new businesses. The Executive Director functions as the general manager and reports to the Board of Directors with the intent to fulfill the goals and activities identified in the organization’s strategic economic and community development plan.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years experience of increasing responsibility with business and economic networking and development. Experience at a general management or deputy level is desired in industrial and commercial development, community development, and/or marketing and sales; preferably including exposure to public and/or private sector boards and entrepreneurial experience.

A Bachelor’s degree in business, economic development, marketing, economics, general management or a related field is desired. Economic Development Certification preferred. Work experience may be substituted for a degree.
